I have had a LA SPA for 5 years and recently while checking the around the motors the hose to the ozone box snapped(just at the connection to the box).. I called the dealer and he said it wasnt that important and to disconnect it from the powerbox and seal off the hose. Just wondering what the right thing to do is..

thanks all

I would buy a new ozonator or be willing to pay more for chemicals and use more of them. Ozonators oxidize organic materials and neutralize them, much like chlorine does, but over a longer period of time. Think of Chlorine as the front lines and ozonators as the supply ships bringing in more troops...

You can buy one for like 150 bucks at spadepot or poolpartsplus (spapartsplus ? I can't remember...). I'm preferential to SpaDepot because they have a really good website and live operators that answer asinine questions like whether or not spa flush is enzymatic or not (thread here). You can also buy a lot of their stuff off of ebay and get combined shipping discounts (this might apply from their website, I'm not sure). I would really recommend you do it.

Alternatively, you could buy a new CD chip thing and then plast-aid (from spadepot or someone else from ebay) the receptacle back on. This is a little more tricky.

Quite frankly, I'm surprised your dealer didn't try and sell you a new one. Maybe he's thinking your spa will turn into pea soup and you'll want service or a new spa!
