Last December after a wild fire 500 ft from our home, my pool filter and pump (along with other electronics) were stolen. In May the insurance finally issued the funds to replace the equipment. However, in the mean time I put chlorine & Shock into the dirty pool to prevent future damage. (We live in a high wind area) The pool was not drained or cleaned in any other way during this time. The pool equipment finally went in; the muddy-ish pool was swept, brushed and cleaned. Never drained!

We were told that it would take some time before the pool equipment cleaned the pool out and made it crystal clear. So about 3 weeks later it was looking good. We soon realized that the pool had developed some apparent staining that didn’t come off with cleaning. We were told that when the pool sat with the mudd-ish water it caused damage to stucco & staining which left it rough and un-even.

My question is how long does pool water need to not move through a pool and not be cleaned before it can do this? ( I am going to ask my insurance company to pay to either have it high presser washed or re-stuccoed. Under the same claim). By the way originally we asked them f this could happen, they said no but if something more happen to let them know!

Thank you,

AS
