  1. I also ran 220V 60A, I checked the zoning here in Ohio, your codes may vary, I was told: Inside the house: Run 6/3w/ground, the 4 wires(Red(hot) Black(hot) white(neutral) solid copper(ground) is wrapped by a rubber sheath. Outside the house, from the SPA box to the hottub control panel: Separate #6 stranded wires. We ran 2 red, both hot, and one green for the ground. There is no neutral from the spa box to the hottub(well, in our case anyways). For the 3 separate #6 wires, just use electric tape, to hold the 3 together, tape every foot or so, makes it much easier to work with. There, my 2 cents worth....
  2. What was the voltage of these 2 spa's? 110V or 220V Well, my Sundance I wired the best I could: 60Amp, 220V. I don't know what the neighbor's Hot Springs is, maybe: 50Amp 220V.
  3. Our new Sundance Certa only took about 7 hours to heat up from city 56 deg water. Our neighbor's Hot Springs took over 24 hours to heat up. Thats a pretty big difference!!!!! How long do most spas you all have out there take to heat up??
  4. We did a 14' X 13' concrete slab, stamped concrete. The Sundance specs state needs to be 4" thick for in our case the Certa.
  5. My understanding is that the same company owns both, not that either owns the other, I know, splitting hairs.... We just got a Sandance Certa last October, and so far still loving it.
  6. Swim suits in a hottub are like condom during ***, its just not natural....
  7. We just got a Certa, our price was something like $6895, or close to that, but they had to ship ours all the way from CA to Ohio, so sure you're getting better deal not having to ship so far. So far, we love it, we've had it couple months now.
  8. Tell them no problem but no suits allowed. As far as showering, you will be able to deal with the extra junk in the water with an extra shock. Yup, tell people swim suits optional, but strongly discouraged and you won't get many takers. Thats one way to keep most guests out.
  9. Well, we just bought a Sundance Certa and the dealer installed the Ozone thingy. Frankly, I don't know what it does, but good or bad, they didn't even ask, they just included it in our purchase. I'm sure, yes, we paid for it. Hopefully it is an option worth having.
  10. We try to soak about every day. This too is our first Christmas in a new house with the new hottub, Sundance Certa, for sure will be soaking Christmas day.
  11. We too just got the Certa and couldn't figure out what that particular control changed. Will have to check now to see if it makes a difference on the two foot jets. Didn't think of checking them. We've had the Certa for about 2 months now, so far, luvin it. Kent, Ohio
  12. We went with the Sundance CERTA, which has a lounge seat. So far we are very happy with it. We've had it about 2 months now....
  13. We hired a separate concrete guy to come in and do our stamped colored concrete, came out really nice. We talked to an Electrician to find out the local codes, then wired it ourselves. The Spa delivery folks only did the basic setup: put tub in place installed cover lift hardware installed the ozonator(whatever that does) put the steps together I had to actually wire it up myself. Figure the SPA folks don't want the liability of messing with the electrical. We went with 60A 220V to get the most heat and pumps run at same time.
  14. Yeah, we were out soaking the other day, a couple inches of fresh snow, big fluffly flakes coming down, very quiet and relaxing. From N.E. Ohio
