  1. Congrat's on your new toy have fun and share your first soak expierence w/us!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Tiny- could you explain the .60 cent increase? Thanks I'd be happy to Blake, but I'm not sure I understand the question. But, here it goes anyways. Rebecca mentioned that wood might be a better insulator for a spa. I was just giving her info. from my experience. My first powerbill with my spa was less than the same period for the previous year. My second power bill was 60 cents higher than the same period the previous year. I have the "fake stuff" on the outside of my spa, so I thought that info. might be helpful in making her decision. Sorry to ask but you are saying your power bill was only 60 cents more than the previous year bill with the added tub?? I find this hard to believe unless the outside temp's were way different or your power company reduced their rates which doesn't seem likely nowaday's. care to elborate on this subject, your tub was plugged in and running right?
  3. Glad to see everything worked out, now start enjoying your tub all good things come to us that await
  4. I don't have geothermal just city water, nice to see it actually work's but the price is a little steep. Let's hope the the big 10 can go for 2 for 2 in the next couple of day's good luck and fortune to the buckeyes and I will be doing the same for the Illini.
  5. I know with the time differentials this post may not show the correct time, but it is currently 12:40am hear in the midwest. I did my first drain and refill today (after 4 months) the water was still in good condition but thought today would be a good day. Temp's were at 39 degrees outside at 11:00 am, drained tub, did a quick wipe and clean, then had tub refilled around 3:00 pm put power back to tub after the fill the inside tub temp. was at 40 degrees, 6.5 hrs later the tub was at 105 degrees. I waited until 12:01 to go out and soak temp was at 108 degrees, just now getting back in from a great soak from what will be a 10 yr old tub after tommorrow so far a good investment but I'm sure next months power bill will show the 6 plus hours of the heater being on. Next drain and refill will be sometime in april!!!!!!
  6. Have read both of your post's, do you have a 24 hr reciculating pump in which your heater is conected to?? I wil try to help out as information is provided.
  7. I for one will be, no matter what the conditions outside are like!!!!!!!! If you have read any of my previous posts you will see that my tub will turn 10 yrs old this new year, I have only owned it a few month's but everything so far is in good working order and it will still reach a max temp. of a 107 degrees. I bought this used this past summer at what I call a bargain price and have enjoyed almost every eveing since with no breakdowns since my original post and my last bill for december was around $48.50 to contain my new love. I hope to add new pictures sometime in the near future, hope everyone has a happy new year.
  8. We just came in from a soak and wanted to wish everyone a merry Christmas, it was very peaceful out tonight temp's in the lower 30's but all in all still a very nice soak. Hope everyone got what they wished for or at least what they deserved!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Kent, all of our snow here is gone , looks like it won't be a white x-mas this year but we have a small chance of flurries coming or at least that is what the weatherperson is saying (what do they know). Was in ohio on the 21st to pick my sister-in-law she lives in (Lima) at that time there was still some snow on the ground in that part of ohio. Our present temp. is 24 deg. so we will keep our fingers crossed that some of that white stuff comes falling down our way.
  10. I may have to wait a while to expierence this so far no takers, but I'm always game!!!!!!!!
  11. (Stomper 4x4) My first expierence in the snow was nothing like yours, I was by myself eveyone else in the household chickened out it was late at night and everything seemed to glisten especially when a deer fell on my black-top driveway sorta startled me since I heard the noise but couldn't see anything, due to the fence. lately the snow is gone due to all the light rain but this weekend that all could change!!! Forget about what the califorian said, hopefully he or she's not from san francisco, I was staition in califorinia for 1.5 years about 40 mile south of sacramento was very nice but I did miss the snow around the holidays.
  12. Forgot to mention it was snowing the evening I wrote this, your right it was a true blessing. Tonight the temp's were a little higher not snowing but the soak was just as re-freshing as the other evening.
  13. Was able to soak last night for about 20 min. in my tub with our first snow, only got about 2.5 inches of snow but it was a great soak everything was so bright and the the yard looked totally different. For those of you that can enjoy a soak in the snow you know what I'm talking about and for those of you that never will be able to, due to location it something you should expierence at least once. personally I can't wait for another snow shower while I'm in the tub.
