C5vert Posted June 13, 2007 Report Share Posted June 13, 2007 Hi, I own an inground pool with an attached hot tub..The water from the hot tub flows into a pool as a waterfall. When the pool pump shuts down for the day and I turn the hot tub on during the evening, the jets will come on and within a minute I notice that the water level in the tub will drop by as much as an inch. The water is not overflowing into the pool, nor is it spilling on to the lanai. As far as I can tell there is no leak in the pool heat pump through which the water is being sent, there are no visible leaks around the pipes/valve, so my question is, where is the water dissappearing to and is this normal? Clark Griswald Posted June 22, 2007 Report Share Posted June 22, 2007 I had the same problem and I had a check valve that was bad...it was an ortega valve..the spring and stopper in ther had gone bad...do you have a screw cap on the end of one of your pvc pipes by your pumps?
