closer
I have read many posts in regards to users using or switching from Baqua. I have used it for 2-years primarily due to my allergic reaction to bromine. Unfortunately Baqua seems to be eating the seals on my pump which voids the warranty and I cannot affords to replace the pump every 4-5 months... (this will be my third pump). The service rep for my spa says he has seen this with other customers using Baqua, therefore I'm planning to switch to chlorine based upon research on this forum. My question is what's the recommended way to flush my spa to ensure Baqua is out of the system prior to switching to chlorine? What is the recommended start-up procedure for a chlorine based system? Thanks to all that can help in this transition.
hottub.pool_boy
try this: http://scarritt.com/spasanitizing.htm You could dump the water, refill, run it for a few minutes and dump it again. But we don't feel it's necessary. Just dump it, refill, balance alk, ph, calcium then shock with chlorine.
