Eric OV Posted September 16, 2019 Report Share Posted September 16, 2019 I am building a new pool out of block and want to know the best depth to set the eyeball return jets. I get conflicting opinions on 6", 12" and 18" below water line. What is best? My pool is rectangular 36' x 12' x 4.5' deep. The general opinion i'm finding is you want to minimize disturbance on the surface because it reduces the efficiency of the skimmer, so aim the jets down at 45 degrees, generating a circular current below the surface.
