NCBoilermaker
Like many others, I have had to deal with faulty capacitors on my 2006 Sundance Altamar 880 Series. In the cold months, if I lose power, I have to use the hairdryer trick to get it started again. The economical fix is to replace the capacitors, but I can't find the right specs to replace them with. Can anyone help me with the right capacitor? Here is what is written on the capacitor (from what I can see): GL 105º C P548 Vent The Circuit Board is 6600-098 Rev. D The EPROM is Rev 9.51A Any help would be appreciated. Here are three pictures of the capacitors and the board: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8zsi0ufbiy0w9vp/IMG_2161.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/k3bin7t4iezck7u/IMG_2162.JPG https://www.dropbox.com/s/fnn9la0fjtl0e9o/IMG_2160.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/j8lh5odt7ouxbfj/IMG_2159.jpg ***Update*** - I found it. 3300uf 25V CapXon is what was on it (hidden on the inside of both capacitors, so it was hard to see). 509eagle
Where did you find the new caps. I have the same problem. I found these, http://www.ntepartsdirect.com/ENG/PRODUCT/VHT3300M25
mrpenguin
Ebay also is a good source for capacitors, search for "3300us 25v" yielded many results, but many may take a week or so from overseas. I also have a bunch of various spare capacitors I pull from old electronics, as this capacitor plague you see is very common. Mouser also has them http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=3300uf+25v as is digikey http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en?vendor=0&keywords=3300uf+25v Just measure the capacitor's diameter and height. Diameter for pin locations/space next to it and height for clearance. Both may not matter depending on the board. This I have done in many other electronics, tv's that don't stay on, motherboards, power supplies, etc. edit - Also, the smaller capacitors are most likely a different value. I cannot tell totally from the pic, but they too may be bulging and need replacement.

Jonathan Chabot
I'm having the same issue with my capacitors for my optima 880 2007 spa. I've ordered the 2 big capacitors at Digi-Keys but I wanted to change the little one too at the same time. Does anyone know the Voltage and uf of the little ones ? I think there's a total of 6 capcitors on the board. 2 bigs, 2 diferrent type of little. Thanks !
