C-Phase Posted June 5, 2013 Report Share Posted June 5, 2013 Title pretty much sums it up. I was given one of these type pool cleaners. Are these for us only on in ground pools or can I use it on my above the ground pool. These are pressure vacs so I hooked it up to my return line, it drove across the bottom of the pool, but when it got to the opposite wall it was never able to turn and tried to keep going striaght against the wall. Could the hose be too long? Also it didn't appear to do any cleaning while underway and the cleaning tail wasn't wagging. Lastly the return line from my filter to the wall blew off the fitting. I shut everything down and re-attached the hose. (not sure if it was just loose) or if this type of cleaner can be used on an above the ground pool or if anything needs to be done to use them with my pool. Thanks in advance for any info.
