JimKW
Anybody know where the Flow switch is loacted and how to change it? Book says dealer or qualified service organization. I'm pretty good at doing stuff myself just not sure where the switch is. It's a 2005 Optima.
JimKW
Got it. Replaced flow switch and it's working fine. If anybody reads this looking for the switch, it's behind the right side panel. There is a short hose coming out of the heater that goes right into it. I think I am looking at a replacement here as well. My Sundance Capri has intermitently FLASHED a Flo error for the last couple months. When it's flashing, everything still seems to work and then it eventually stops ... until the next time. Now it has taken to saying just FLO (no flash) - when that happens none of the controls work. Sometimes if I shut the circuit breaker off and turn back on it works. A couple times it has come up as FLO2 instead. With winter coming, not a good thing. Is this an easy repair? Anyone have a ballpark figure of what it would cost to have a tech fix it? I did manage to successfully replace the heater but my technical skills don't go much beyond that. Spa_Guru
That is what you are looking for. Clean your filter before replacing the switch, it isn't cheap.

linD43
Thanks! Called the local Sundance dealer and he said $175 for them to replace. Interestingly ... it hasn't happened once since I called! Though I have raised the thermostat setting from it's summer 94-95 degree setting to 100. Maybe it 'likes' that better? JimKW
On my Optima when it says Flo I just mess with the filter to get air out of it. Only happens on a refill or filter replacement. When it said Flo 2 I needed a new Flow Switch. I did not take picutres, but it's real easy to find when you remove the right side panel, there is a short hose from the heater into the Flow Switch. The switch was about $60 at the local Sundance Dealer and they had them in stock. Took me about 15 minutes to install it.
