greensoftub
Just bought an old T300 softub for next to no money at all - the owners (who had never used it since they bought it from someone else) said that it would switch on for 15 minutes, then go 'off'. So it's outside now, just filled up - the jets came on for 15 minutes (or so), and are now off. The controls still indicate it's heating. Is there a chance that it's working and the jets just turn off anyway, but the pump runs to heat the water? Thanks.
Dnepr Dave
If the pump isn't running, it isn't heating. There is no separate heater on a soft tub. Dave
greensoftub
So it's been on for 12 hours or so - pump runs for 15 minutes but will turn off for some time in between - maybe 45-60 minutes). Temperature hasn't risen appreciably, so clearly something is up - any ideas what to look at troubleshooting first? The relay on the temperature dial works - in that lowering it results in a click and the heating light going off, and vice versa. Even when the pump has stopped running, the heating light is still lit.
