MR WHITE
Im new to this site and new to hot tubs. Any help would be appreciated. One night I was going to use the spa but never did. I turned the jets on with the cover still over it. I came out in the mourning and notice the water level was below the filter. I refilled it back up to proper level. I went to use it and noticed the breaker was tripped. Reset the breaker and the tub came back on that's when I noticed the leak on the left side of the heater on the flex hose. I had this repaired by a pool man. However the spa would not turn back on and he trouble shot it being the OZONE. He unplugged the OZone and the SPA heater came on with the pump in low speed mode. It ran fine for two days but was not heating properly I assumed. On the heater I noticed a screw turn dial thing attached to what looks like a thermostat. I figured this was where I could turn up the temp. It had 1PSI to 5 PSI settings. I noticed that if this was turned all the way past one PSI it would hit a red button. After turning this dial to five I believe the water did heat up but when operating it with the Jets on in Hi speed mode it tripped the breaker. I need some help on this one. After it tripped the breaker I could not reset it immediately. Thats where I am now.
MR WHITE
I tired the plug and play method of trouble shooting. I unplugged the pump and the heater comes on fine. Plugged back in the pump and it doesnt trip the breaker this time but also does not go into low or hi speed mode. I can hear the relay when I hit the jet bottom. Im hoping this is bad wiring but I fear the pump may be bad now giving its old age and the possibility that it sat for a long time prior to me recently moving in.
