I will have 120 square feet of solar panels on the roof with an automatic 3-way control valve, 2" piping all the way around with everything moving about 45 gpm. Controller will monitor return water temp and an outdoor air sensor monitoring roof temp (the solar light sensor is so expensive you would think it's made out of polished un-obtainium) So my question, at what time/temp do you folks go to solar mode and what is the minimum differential temp between roof and return water would you recommend for peak efficiency?
