wimmerfield
Please can anyone tell me whether the PC-101 home swimming pool water (pH/Cl2) tester described in the link below (and elsewhere) can be used to find bromine concentration by applying the usual 2.25 multiplier to the chlorine ppm? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Outdo...n-150669642.htm

You answered your own question. Hello and thanks for your response! Does that mean that you have used the stated probe to measure bromine instead of chlorine? You see, I am not sure of the scientific basis for the probe operation. I am concerned that it may be chloride ion specific. I know that several people use chlorine test strips to test bromine, from which they successfully apply the 2.25 multiplier so I guess there is a chance it would be OK. I would appreciate more detailed follow up from you on this question as I have not deiscovered anyone else using this particular electrical probe to measure bromine concentration.
