  1. Hello. My circulation pump has stopped working on me. It's an AO Smith C48M2N111A3. I'm going to either have it rebuilt locally or replace it with a Century UST1202. While I have this broken down, I planned on rebuilding the entire pump. I already have had to replace the pump housings on both motors from a rookie mistake (didn't pull the drain plugs in winter and ice cracked them). So the pump housings are practically new. But I thought I would replace the seals on the impeller because the motor mount shows signs that the seals were leaking. That's no big deal and have found those replacement parts. My issue is, I must just be missing what it is called or what they are, but there is a diffuser(?) that covers the impeller and there is a o ring between it and the out flow of the pump housing. Does anybody know what that cover is called and if I can get a replacement? It shows some small wear. What are these?
  2. Hello, thanks for the help to start off. Just moved in to a home and have this spa in my backyard. I have tried all modes, std, ecn and SLP. Filtration will not stop after 4-5 hours. I have the manual and it says once turned on from circuit breaker it takes 2 hours to filter. Anyone else have this problem or have any suggest. Thank you very much guys!
  3. Hi, We have a small outdoor space where we'd like to put a spa. We really like the Sundance Capri, but the quote we got was $8,895, which seeems really high. So, can we do better on the price? Should we look at other spas? We also looked at the Arctic Fox, but haven't wet-tested it yet. Thanks for any help you can give us!
  4. My husband and I purchased a Infinity spa from a local retailer at the Home and Garden show. This was in 3/09. The tubs' shell has cracked. I understand the company that made this brand has gone out of business and now I have no warranty to fall back on. The retailer hasn't been of any help too. They are only offering to fix it(which it can't be) or to let us have a new one(it won't be an INfinity) at half the price.I am NOT pleased with this at all. After doing some research on the web I am thinking I have been basically screwed and the manufacturer is gone so there will be no warranty. Do i have any other recourse?? I have been reading that allot of Infinity customers have gotten bad products and feel they have no where to turn. HELP!!
  5. I have a Hot Springs Envoy spa that is about 7 years old. It has a minor leak. Due to the location of the tub on my deck and the remote location of my home, the labor repair cost alone will be about $4,000 (removal of the deck railing, crane, etc.). I had a technician come out and look they can only access the front panel where all of the pumps and control panel are located. They do not see a leak at the pumps. As a last resort, I am going to try a liquid stop leak in a bottle product. Has anybody had any experience (success?) with this type of repair? I have looked at several brands: Fix a leak “The Orginal” by Marlig Industries, Pool and Spa Leak fix, Watertite Leak Stopper for Spa./Pool, Leisure Time Stop Leak. Surprisingly the Marlig product gets rave reviews online. I am only interested in feedback from people who have used this type of products. As I stated the labor and equipment rental to repair the tub will be over $4,000. This is a last ditch effort. If it doesn't work I will be investing in a new hot tub. Any feedback regarding the leak in a bottle repair would be greatly appreciated. HELP!!!!
  6. Ok a little back story. Heated the spa about 2 weeks ago. Everything worked fine and the spa heated nicely. Then last weekend put the filter pump on and the pool heater and left to do some things. When i got back home the pool wasnt warm. Go to the heater and the service AGS light is on. Turn it off to try again. Runs about 3 times and then service AGS light comes on again. I can smell gas when it comes on and starts blowing air through the vent so i know its getting gas. So i switch to spa and see if that will heat. But instead of service AGS light coming on, I'm getting the pressure switch light flashing and the heater wont kick on. Anybody have ideas? I want to try and do this myself because I can't really afford to have a technician do it. Ive done some searching but because i dont know what's what I'm not really sure what im suppose to be checking. Here's some pictures of my setup for reference and maybe you can tell me what i should check and where it is in the pictures.
  7. Hi there, - new to this forum, but need some advice. Over the last 3 years, our spa (which is next to the inground pool and has a spillway from spa to pool), has been slowly leaking water out onto the concrete tiles which surround the spa, the spa is about 1 metre above these tiles, but the water is leaching through and a small puddle develops when the pumps to clean the pool go on, and water is pushed through the spa into the pool. I have been told by a handyman (who has tried using a sealer that he uses to waterproof showers) that there are many hairline cracks in the wall of the spa, which is probably causing the problem. I have also heard of waterproof membranes that you can buy and apply. I am fearing that the spa may have to be knocked down and built again, BUT - was just wondering if anyone else had any suggestions, as I am getting pretty desparate, and running out of ideas...... Any suggestions would be much appreciated......
