Looking for some help out there. Just replaced the heater relay board and the heater did not replace the main board. It worked great for a while and then all of a sudden the red light on the main board would not light up the green light on the main board was lit green. The controls change the temperature OK and the red light shows up for power and control but it does not heat up. This red light is on the control the red light on the main board does not come on does it sound like I need to also upgrade the main board?? Thanks And any help would be greatly appreciated The picture is upside down The green light is on the two red lights are off this is on the main board The green light is limit OK The red heater on never comes on even though I just replaced the power relay board. there is a green light on the power relay board the new power relay board appears to be working fine the only problem is the heater never gets power Limit OK green always lit htr on - red light never comes on Bottom red light on the main board never comes on Small green lit light Constantly on the power relay board Keep in mind that this is an updated power relay board with a main board that is 20 years old

To fix a bogus heater limit error I finally replaced the Main PC board (Caldera #77089) on my 2004 Caldera Paradise Martinique, after having exhausted all other avenues--including replacing the heater unit. Finally, no more heater limit shutting down the heater (yay!). However, while Pump 1 can be started and run, Pump 2 does not start when the button on the Display panel is pressed. Pump 2 did work fine before replacing the board, and connecting the Pump 2 wires to the Pump 1 board tabs as a test proved that Pump 2 does still work. (There is a note associated with the 77089 board that "On 2002 and 2003 Models we reccomend [sic] you also replace Top Side Control on some models the old topside will not be compatible with the new board." The Martinique was introduced in 2004, so that should not apply to this.) Per the document that came with the 77089, jumpers JP1 and JP9 were set. Voltages were checked on the Pump tabs, showing 245V on Pump 1 (BLK->WHT) while it was operating with 116V going to ground on both the Pump 1 and Pump 2 BLK->GRN tabs. Checking the Pump 2 tab voltage never budged from Zero when pressing the Pump 2 button--not even for a moment. I've repeatedly tried to contact the company that sold me the board, and Caldera, and have gotten no response. So now I'm trying to determine whether I've got a (slightly) bad board, since all its other functions seem to be fine; or if there's another jumper somewhere that needs to be set; of if there's some other connection or whatever that needs to be done. The 77089 board is sold as a replacement for "all 2002-2008 Caldera Utopia and paradise Models," but it is not identical to the board it replaces. Other than a different JPx jumper setting though (where I followed the board's docs), everything on the old board corresponded to the new. Thanks for any advice or assistance, and please correct me if I appear to be misunderstanding anything. Plus I'll be happy to follow any diagnostics advice.

I am on my 3rd main board for my Prodigy Hot Tub, it happens every time we unplug the hot tub to drain, clean and refill. As soon as we plug the hot tub back in we get the Green and Red lights blinking and she doesn't heat up but still circulates. Yesterday is the third time, the power went out from a storm and when she kicked back in the lights were blinking on the hot tub again. I unplugged it for a few minutes and plugged her back in and still blinking lights. We enjoy it between refills but not enjoying the expense of these boards. Any ideas on whats causing this?

Hayward H400IDLCAL Main Board keeps Blowing
Robert Hefner posted a topic in Portable Hot Tubs & Spas
Hey folks, I am now on my second board in and the board keeps blowing in the same spot. When it blows the back of the board is black. It blows under where the blower connections are. If you refer to the lower left of the Main control Module you will see connection labeled "L1" and "L2" this is where the board blows. Both boards blew out in the same spot. The heater was originally installed in 2002 and the model # H400IDLCAL the "CAL" is for California Pools as it was branded for them. Any ideas on what might be the root cause? - Robert
