  1. Good afternoon, I have scoured this forum for answers, but I haven't been able to find anything and would so appreciate any help. I have a 2006 Hot Spring 2 and just replaced the relay and IQ2020 control board. I am quite confident in the wiring, but after replacing the two boards the unit trips the breaker within 5-6 seconds of the hot tub being switched on, right around when the circulation pump normally starts. I troubleshot it by unplugging components one by one until the only thing left was the control head, aux head, lim therm, pressure switch (cross wired anyway) and reg therm. Removing the control head connector from the main board kept the power on so I thought I'd found my culprit. I then reconnected all other components other than the control head, and power still stayed on. So given I replaced the aux head last summer and all other parts were new I decided to replace this too so all electronics were brand new and I also thought I'd read someone when replacing the electronics all three parts should be replaced together. I replaced it with 73225 and replaced the fascia at the same time. The new control head ribbon cable has the red line at the top of the connector when connected, the old one was down at the bottom. Feeling confident I'd fixed it..... but nope the exact same trip occurred! I'm at a bit of a loss, and really need to clever person to help me! The main pump was replaced as part of my recent works, the heater element last summer and circulation pump 3 years ago which was working fine before electronics replacement. Note all three of these were unplugged anyway as part of my testing. The pins were correctly set on the IQ2020 (the default was right for a sovereign anyway), the power set to 50hz as I'm based on the UK and both the control board and relay boards jumpers were set to 12v (old was 18v) as I thought I should do with the all new boards. The new control head does come on before it trips and briefly displays the correct temperature before tripping. That's all I can think of that is relevant. I really do hope someone can help. Thanks! Peter
  2. Hi All, looking for some more help on spa repair. Thanks to this forum I got my tub working! It's awesome, and I love that all the parts are available online. My problem is that my control head works just fine, but the LCD display went bad. This is not ideal as I can't see the set temperature or any other read outs. The replacement control head is $263, but I'm hoping there is a way to just replace the LCD. Anyone done that before or know how? Seems like a waste to replace an entire control head (the front controls, not the whole iq2000 boad that is inside) when the LCD probably only costs $40 or less. Thanks
