  1. Verbatim email from the owner "Tub is 2006 and warranty is still in effect, but not sure if it is transferable. Cover is not included. Some asshole stole it about 5 days ago."
  2. So I talked with the owner and it turns out this is a 2006 model G3. Only a year old. Cover is not included, as he no longer has it. He is not sure if the warranty is transferable, does anyone know this? I won't have a chance for a wet test, but a POS will be signed agreeing that the hot tub is in perfect working condition. Looks like I will need to purchase a "Spa-Box" power converter since we do not have 220. Will this be worth it?
  3. price wise.......assuming it is in perfect running condition and cosmetically no issues, is this a decent price?
  4. Quick preface: Moving into house on September 1st. Looking for a large (7 person) hot tub, but do not have the upfront cash for a brand new one. I've found a seller on craigslist who lives about 10 minutes from me and is selling their hot tub. Asking $4,000, I offered $3,000. (Pictures are below) They said they would take $3,000 and throw in $400 in chemicals, if I could pick it up myself and do all the manual labor (which is not an issue for me) This is the info supplied in the ad: Make: Leisure Bay Spa Model: G-3 (Genius Series) Persons: 7 Pumps: 2 Jets: 28 Lights: LCD Temp Range: 70-104 degrees Other: Freeze Protection, Energy Conservation Controls, Timing Controls, Lounge Seats I'm wondering if anyone has input on this purchase and if they think $3,000 is a fair deal. The extent of what I know is just from reading on forums as I've never really looked into purchasing a new one or checking them out in stores. We are also going to need 220 wired to the side of the house. Everything including the wiring and the tub will be within 15-20ft of each other. Any help would be great. If I should stay away from this please let me know. Thanks
