We are currently in the process of converting our 24' 13,500 gal above ground pool from baquacil to chlorine. I am currently dumping in 2 gallons of bleach, 3 times a day and am on my 3rd day. I really am doing this blindly, but with 3 children, trips to the pool store are much avoided! IM hoping to find some help through this forum. Ive read that the CL level needs to be kept at 15 ppm until it can remain that way on its own overnight. The test kit that I have only reads up to 5.0 - I have not seen any others. I read on another forum that there is a way to measure up to 15 ppm even on the test kits like I have. Does anyone have an idea about this? Any other help you might share. Thanks!
