  1. Ok so I followed the instructions on starting up new spa with Sodium bromide and shock with liquid chlorine. I did this at 1:30pm today. It shot way up as expected but it is now 8:30pm I can't seem to get it the bromine below 16-18ppm yet and I haven't even put the bromine floater in yet. Just fyi I am using a Taylor k-2006 so measuring Free & Combined Chlorine and then multiplying the results by 2.25 which gives me 18ppm. Is that right? This is killing me because my poor 8 year old wants to try the spa out so bad but I believe is has to be below 10ppm to be safe right?
  2. Hello all, I hope you can help give me advice. I got a new spa from auction that obviously had a issue from factory. Found a very small leak like 1 drop every 3 seconds or so. So they put this black stuff everywhere to try and fix it, but obviously it's not where they put it. So 2 questions. What kind of jet assembly is this. It is a non-adjustable small jet. I think replacing the entire thing is best? 2nd is the water and air line going into the jet has the blue loctite type stuff on it. Is there a easy way to get that hose off? Where can I get this assembly online what is it called? Fyi this is a China made hot tub called Mona Lisa not well known but ai imagined the type of jet assembly used is somewhat universal? Thanks, Mike
  3. Hello, I currently have 90amp double pole breaker at the house main panel that feeds my Pentair Intellicenter panel. From the Intellicenter panel, I have space to run a 50amp breaker for my 240v spa. Does the GFCI have to be the 50A at the Intellicenter panel or does it need to be located in the spa disconnect near the spa? If.I do put a 50A GFCI in the Intellicenter panel then can I put a regular non-fuseable disconnect next to the spa? What is best practice Thanks!
