2014 Hotsprings Envoy Got a hot tub for practically free, worked before I had it moved. It just had a slight drip leak on the back of a couple jets. Now it has a weird issue where the pumps will only run “normally” if you loosen the union nuts on them. Otherwise it acts like it’s starving for water or has no power. Tub is at the normal full level. I’ve tried switching one of the pumps for a brand new one and it still does the same thing. I’ve completely removed all the filters and tried to no end to “purge” the lines of airlocks. As soon as you retighten the intake/discharge nuts back to normal, the pumps hesitate again. Am I missing something here? I completely drained the tub when I swapped the one pump and checked the intake/discharge for obstructions of both pumps. If you keep cycling the pumps and it gets flowing hard/properly (unions loosened) it will go into protection mode sometimes as well. It doesn’t trip any breakers and seems like it heats properly. Could the control board be the root cause? I don’t see any damage or “burnt” spots on it.
