  1. So..... Has anyone heard where the Pump(s) are generating enough heat to raise the water temp? Now remember. Mine is the Jetsetter, small Tub, 250 gallons. Thanks again.. Steve
  2. Another update.. .. Mary, Good morning and I hope you had a nice Easter. I have some interesting information for you guys. With the weather being nice on Sunday morning I turned the tub on and ran a test with the panel off. Set Temp - Heater turned off when Pump(s) are running (from previous visit) Tub Temp only went up a couple of degrees. In the afternoon, when the Air Temp started to drop, the Tub Temp didn't climb. Like I mentioned in a previous Note, the Tub is picking up heat somewhere. With feeling around, the Pump is hot, so I bet that is the source. This is why once the Air Temp is high, the Tub gets got to 106°, and at other times, the Tub Temp is partially mitigated by Air Temp. So now the ball is again in your court. 1. What is an acceptable operating temperature range of the Pump under normal conditions? 2. Could there be a partial blockage that is causing the Pump to run hot? 3. Do you start up the parts cannon and replace the Pump and Filter Media? 4. Do you vent the Panel and install an active Fan to draw outside air into the Pump space? (This might work but might also mask the real issue.) One other thing. The Tech was here on the 18th and left saying that she should hear something from Support by the end of that week. We are now starting the 2nd week and nothing. Hope this information helps a little. Steve
  3. Tech is due back here March 18th. Just sent this to the Device Manager: ..... Mary, Some information for the Tech. I just finished a test. Set Temp - 96° Tub Temp rose to 100° Tub ran for 90 minutes Cover off Outside Temp ~50° Light breeze. Tub is picking up temperature from somewhere. Is there a way the Tech can monitor/record what the Tub is doing for its whole cycle? Obviously it appears to work within the few minutes that they are here. They have to record the System for the cycle time and not just keep repeating the same quick test. Hope this helps. Steve
  4. Good day guys. Here's an update.. Well.... The saga continues. A New Board was installed. It had different, and additional Chips on it. So it is a Version change, not a Parts Swap. Today is the first day that I tested where I felt I got valid results. Outside temp is approximately 60° with a slight breeze. Set Temp is 97° Wife got out with it showing 100°. We were getting low-ish temps and strong winds for awhile, hence no testing that was worthwhile. I didn't want the low temps to moderate the Tub's temp. This Temp Rise is outside Hot Springs allowance and once the Outside Temp starts to rise, I believe we will be back to where we started. (PS.. I took that hot air tube off quite awhile ago..) Note was sent to the local Service Manager. Thanks Steve
  5. FYI... ............ Good morning All The last contact I have had regarding the 'temperature creep' was when the Service Tech was here Nov 21st. Tuesday will be 3 weeks...... The Tech did not swap out any Parts during her visit. As an fyi, today, Saturday, my air temperature is approximately 65°. Tub's Set temp is 98°. With half of the Cover off, as my Wife uses it, the Tub has reached 104°. Diana, you and I discussed this. Unless the outside temp is 0°, this is way too hot for us. In other words, the Tub is unusable. Having the weather mitigate the issue is not acceptable. I would also like to add that I have seen the Remote reboot/restart several times spontaneously. I don't know if it has done it while I wasn't looking. Could this be contributing to our issue? Lastly, I understand that I am not the only person reporting this issue. When can I expect some update/contact, even if it's a brief Note saying that Watkins is still working on it. Steve Quigley
  6. Good day. New Topic as I didn't want to bury it in my original (New Jetsetter Water Temp Creeps Up). What is the dependency of the Remote to the Tub Temperature creeping up? My Remote randomly restarts. I have watched it several times. I am asking could the issue with the temp creeping up be connected to an error in the Remote? I wonder if I take the Battery out of the Remote, will the Tubs temperature hold better?? Thanks Steve
  7. Update No Parts where replaced. Tech did another 5 min (IMO) useless test. She confirmed that the Heater is going on/off as she made wide swings of the temperature. She also volunteered that she has other complaints like mine and that she is working with Engineering. It has now been 2 1/2 weeks (I didn't expect anything Thanksgiving Week, but the calendar is still running) and nothing. Not even a note saying 'still working on it '. I am going to re-respond to an email thread around Nov 13th and ask 'whatsup?', maybe not nicely.. More to come guys. S PS. Took the Panel off to remove that hot air tub. Yes, warm air was coming out. Also, what a pain in the *** it is to get it off.. Also, the Panel Light was plugged in but not locked. Attention to details??????
  8. Update The Tech will be coming by Tuesday, with parts, when the Watkins Support is available. The Director of Operations here called and we talked.. Fingers crossed..
  9. RD.... So sorry. I just saw your replies, and thank you. I understand the function of the recirc pump. It does run constantly. I have the option (name?) that runs the Jets for 10 minutes twice in 24 hrs turned on. I was running the Jets for their 2 hr cycle, with the Cover on, for cleaning purposes. If I shouldn't, that is indeed on me and welcome the opinions from this Forum. I am keeping the 'venting' idea in my back pocket in case I get no where with the Tech. The Tub is on a raised platform so if I can, I might even try to send the heat underneath and away.. I want the Tech to exhaust ( 😉 ) her options first. I would think that the Pump heat is not healthy for the electronics... JMO .... Watkins finally responded to my Ticket..... Marina Good day I don't know how clearer I can be with this statement, "I am looking to roll back this deal due to lack of support with a new Spa. I don't want to go through even worse support, if that is possible, once the weather warms up.". The Tub is currently performing well but the ambient air temperature is around 60°. Once it starts to rise, March/April, the Tub will be virtually unusable. I have pictures of the Control Unit with a Set Temp of 97° and an actual water temp of 106°. After 100° it is unusable for us especially if the ambient air temp is warm. I look forward to working with a Service Tech and get this resolved. When can I expect to hear from somebody? I can understand your frustrations and concerns. I want to help! This is why I have reached out to your dealer and have volunteered my efforts to help if needed. Warm regards, Marina Eshelman Customer Care Representative Customer Care Team (P) 1.800.999.4688 x 8432 Good day. Our new Tub was delivered on Sept 18th, 2023, with the Electrician hooking it up Sept 19th. We spent the balance of September learning about it. In October I reached out to the Store and talked to our Salesman (Nick) about an issue where the temperature creeps up with the Jet Pumps running. He provided the local Service Departments number. I talked Mary on several occasions on the matter. The local Service Tech (Diana) came by and did a perfunctory review (spent 5 minutes doing an electrical test), and provided test instructions for me to perform. I have NOT heard back Diana and after repeatedly trying to contact Mary, I have not gotten any response that I would consider 'concern'. It has been almost 2 weeks with no contact at all. I have received more information and help from a Spa Forum than from this Company. I am looking to roll back this deal due to lack of support with a new Spa. I don't want to go through even worse support, if that is possible, once the weather warms up. We have seen temps as high as 106°f, which makes the Tub unusable. Will be looking for your response Steve Quigley ref:!00D400N01h.!5004y02TV4SM:ref Warm regards, Marina Eshelman Customer Care Representative Customer Care Team (P) 1.800.999.4688 x 8432
  10. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I thought of that already.. Salesguy seems to just that. By working with you guys, I might have more tech expertise than he does.. Castle..... I haven't looked at the Pump Vent yet. Forty-five degrees here so the weather is 'correcting' the issue. I just want to get a handle on it now rather than find out about it when it starts to warm up.. Warranty people will really not be interested..
  11. Yup Still waiting for a call by the Tech to schedule a visit
  12. This morning.. Air temp 45°. Set Temp 98° After 90 minutes running with Cover fully closed, water temp is 101° Too warm for me.. Going to let it cool and have the Cover half off
  13. Gotcha. Will take a look. Small update. Average air temp was <50° yesterday. Water temp stayed at 98. I could feel the Heater cycling on/off. Same for today. I am going to retest with the Cover on.
  14. Castletonia That's the problem with these forums. So many details not included. I often go in early in the morning for about an hour (watching YouTube videos....). I close the Tub up and might leave it on. My wife will go in afterwards, now it's 'pre-heated' and the temp continues to climb. As to this shroud.. Will it be obvious? I will take a look tomorrow. From this Forums help, I am not expecting the local Tech to (be able to) do anything. I could do this mod once the weather goes back warm.
