I have a Dimension One Meridian hot tub. I've had it for 6 years, but for the past couple of years I've been frustrated with keeping the chemistry in balance. So it's been empty for a couple of months. Now I am planning on filling it and want to do the purge correctly to make sure I am starting with a clean slate. I've had issues with purges in the past so I want to do it right. I am going to use Ahh-some. Should I leave the filter in for the purge? After I purge and refill, if there is some soapy bubbles still forming, should I purge with Ahh-some again? Or should I just drain and refill (kind of like a rinse instead of a cleaning). Or just clean out the soapy residue as it builds? And during all these potential fills and refills, should I keep the same filter in (rinsing it in between)? I'm thinking that residue left in the filter is just being put back in the water. Second, any advice on removing super stuck jets? I can hear/feel grit buildup behind them, but I cannot get them out to clean them. My hands are too small to grip them well.
