I've been getting quotes fttt5rom electricians to run 220 wire to my hot tub in the backyard. One of them suggested I can use the 240 volt wiring from the laundry room since I don't need it for my dryer. The problem is this wire is only 30 amps and the spa suggests 50 to 60 amps. This guy insists that it won't be a problem and even with seven people running all the Jets full power that it won't trip the breaker. He said if anything trips a breaker it would be from heating it. Does this guy know what he's talking about?
