New hot tub owner here so don't be too hard on me. I've been having high pH issues in my bromine tub lately and seems like it's because the heater has been running more often due to the cold weather. I finally decided to just change the water to start over. City water with a pH of 7.4 water added to the tub, heater it back up to temperature but pH is now up to 8.5 only with the heater running. I have not added any chemicals yet. I can get the pH down to good range but the aeration from the heater brings it back around 8.3 within a day. I feel like I'm constantly chasing the pH down with muriatic acid. My Alkalinity is good but the acid is also bringing those levels down so I'm adding baking soda to get that back up. Bought a house that came with a Arctic Spa Cub 2013 model with Northern Lights package. When pump 1 is running the lights cycle through all colors and flash so basically anytime the heater is running the lights won't shut off. Dealer doesn't know and can't find anything on google. When I use the light button on the control panel it just switches the color but still flashes and continues to cycle through all the colors.
