  1. I realize this forum is specifically for portable/inflatable hot tubs, and mie is not, but I haven't been able to find any solutions elsewhere. I have a 2 pump system and believe there was a lightning strike that damaged my gfci and controller. I replaced the gfci and controller with a balboa BP5. The single speed pump 2 works perfectly. Pump 1 turns on, but will not kick into its higher speed of 3450 rpm. When the heater comes on, the pump also turns on at the slower rpm, but then overheats. I thought because it was working at low rpm, maybe the capacitor was bad and replaced it with a new one. That had no effect. The pump cycles on and off a couple times and then the temp indicator light flashes repeatedly and then turns off and the pump stays off, and is quite hot to the touch. I am guessing there is some issue with the pump itself since I've replaced everything else....any ideas or insights before I go spend another $350 on a motor?
