  1. I tested all of the fuses and disconnected the power cord connection point on the circuit board. I got a 115 volt reading. What odd was that when I teated the connection point I got 115 Volts whether the button was pressed or not. This just doesn’t make logical sense to me. I can press the topside button and can hear the click sound on the circuit board.
  2. I went back and checked everything. The circuit board and the capacitor on the motor. I went so far as to wire it direct to a power outlet and everything checked out ok. I’m stumped about this one.
  3. Ok. Will test. Pump worked just before I put it in. The only thing that concerns me is that this does not have the external capacitors like the pump that came off of it did.
  4. I purchased a Century motor (BM40SS) and connected it to my spa pack. The topside panel lights up and I can hear a click on the pack but the pump doesn’t come on. I tested the pump with an external power supply so I know the pump works. Leisure Bay Spa. Balboa LB501S Spa pal.
