My swimming pool is not holding chlorine. I took a sample to the pool store and everything else is exactly where it should be except for my chlorine. This is after applying 20 bags of Burnout Extreme. There is no algae in the pool. The people at the pool store have declared themselves to be "mystified" and said a lot of people in our area are having this same problem. They offered me no further suggestions or help. I have poured a lot of money into this pool so far this year, and we have not been in it once. Also I have been reading about people adding plain chlorine bleach to their pools. I would have thought this would be a big no-no. If anyone can give me any idea of what I need to next, I will be eternally grateful. Thanks.
