  1. I replaced the heater relay board and the hot tub is heating normally now. I’m going to hang onto the old heater relay board. If the new one fails within a short period of time I’ll see about getting the old one repaired thanks for all you help! david
  2. I am in Santa Clarita, CA. This is about as far north as you can get, and still be considered to be in the Los Angeles area. thanks! David
  3. This morning, after unplugging the unit, and then disconnecting the heater black and white wires, and then plugging the unit back in, I measured the voltage at P3 and P2 with the heater light on, and only got 5 V. I then unplugged the hot tub again, and removed the relay board. Heat damage immediately became obvious. The pictures of the relay board are attached. I will be attempting to purchase a new one this morning as I can not find a used board or a place to repair this one. I guess I will take my chances with a new board...
  4. I have now checked for voltage at the heater connection and have no voltage. As RDspaguy has deduced I’ve bought a heater I probably didn’t need. Obviously I’d like to avoid throwing good money after bad, but I feel I’m close to solving this....I’d replace the relays myself if I knew where to find them. Can you suggest a source for these? thanks! david
  5. I have a Hotsprings Jetsetter model JJ. S/N: JJ2H1322. I think it’s a 2006 or 2007 model. I have replaced lots of parts in attempt to get the heater working, without any success. I have replaced the circulation pump, the heater itself, the high temperature sensor and the control sensor. I have also replaced the 3 water filters and put the jumper on the motherboard where the old pressure switch connector was attached. The heater LED lights up when the jets are turned off, but I still get no heat. I’ve now measured the voltage on the heater board at the terminals for the heater when the LED light is on, and I get no voltage. I am guessing that the relays on the heater board are defective. I CAN, of course, heat the water by running the jets continuously, but obviously this is not the desired method. I have read here about bad heater boards and bad relays. Any advice on where to go next with this? I plan on replacing the heater board unless someone pipes up and has a different suggestion.... Thanks in advance! David
  6. I too have the issue of the heater not working with LED light on. I have replaced the heater, no help. I’m considering replacing the heater board. It sounds like this might be a crap shoot, did you have any success? Can you suggest a particular place to buy the board with the better relays etc? Any troubleshooting tips you might care to pass along? thank you! david
