My spa is only 935 litres, I was attempting! To raise the TA by 80ppm, so used 104gms, which listed it about 30ppm. idiot!! I’m not a chemistry teacher but I know chlorine can produce quite stunning reactions added to the wrong stuff. not sure if the acidic cream of tartar is the wrong stuff, not really looking to blow the roof off my spa house or have a chemical peel either. should I just start again to be on the safe side.? 🤪🤪🤪 -

When setting up my lazy spa I accidentally used baking powder instead of bicarbonate of soda to raise the alkalinity. Obviously it didn’t work very well, will the cream of tartar in the baking powder react with the chlorine when I add it? Should I just empty it and start again? Will the cream of tartar affect the filter, pump etc?
