  1. UPDATE; i made some time today to really get down and really look at the whole control area in thoughts of trying to maybe hotwire the blower pump. So I was trolling around the control board verifying wires and locations and noticed some of the sensor wires were plugged into the wrong locations-2 wire plug in a 3 wire socket on board.. etc.... so google image results compared to my board showed some differences. corrected those differences and now power light is steady, jets run and its been on for a couple 3-4 hours and no noticeable temp rise. Now I think either heater is bad or something is not telling the heater to activate. water temp mid-60's and temp set to 97(for now)
  2. Is there a way to trick the board and short out the sensors to make the board think sensors are good
  3. Thanks I did do the disconnect heater test and it did not operate. I will try again. Removing the heater from the control panel still gave me a flashing power label in the control display on top of the spa and the jets would not operate or be allowed to operate. I am reasonably mechanical and electrical but i dont do well at all with control boards or circuit wizardry! Once I let the smoke out(not this case) I am not a repair tech for control board circuit components. soldering/desolder, choose transistors.. etc.
  4. I will be getting new sensors but with work and chaos-hot tub has unfortunately gotten to the bottom of any list. Based on google, all you guys input, personal experience, and observation-flow does not APPEAR to be an issue. I suspect either heater or control board or both. MIGHT if I have time this weekend, try to hotwire the pump to prove flow. And I expect my water temp is not an issue-its East TX, it was 90 yesterday and during testing, day temps were in the 60's-70s with nights in the 45-60 range
  5. paid 2k delivered and it was delivered over 2.5 hours away will try the heater unplug-both the limiit and the heater or just the heater? and yes-trumpet heater gone. if you want pics we can email directly. poolspaforum and the a t symbol and then custom classics d o t org
  6. and DPo must have swapped in a non-OEM heater as it does not look like heater in manual. its a basic CF and I didnt see it ahead of time-it was too good a deal... and even if i put money into it and fix it myself-its still been worth it.
  7. no ozone injector on this one-prob will install one-it has the option of allowing it built-in. I DO see flow, just not bubbles. Its just from teh circ pump though as i cant get teh jets to operate.
  8. found sensors on heater, seller of this used unit is supposed to have a warranty but is pulling the "im sick" card right now. waiting with baited breath and not assuming he will follow through. I cant get pics up-anything small enough to fit file size is too small to discern. Still didnt find limit. knew where it was on my last HS heater but felt all around body of heater and nothing this time-i assume its not on the tubes. im betting its the wires going to limit switches, they were stuffed in and pinched by DPO
  9. Red light on board cant read looks like 4kw heater really restricted on pics. My pad takes 2mb pics small for most tech now
  10. Yeah i knew where button was on last spa Forum format can’t take pics too big even with old pad
  11. Thanks Have done a full power off/reset. In fact, its currently off. Power light blinks but temp displays and circ pump runs. no limit switch detected on heater unit-it POSSIBLY has been replaced by DPO and/or may be the low kw version as it appears this unit could have been 110/220. I will see if I can find the high limit stat
  12. I did-I used the service panel door to set my jumpers and pin jumpers. Confirmed via additional online source. not at home right now but i think it was jump 1,3,9 also had to jumper power number 4/5 and 1 and 2 had hot legs---dont remember...but did it on my HS classic and it ran like a champ so relatively confident I did it right this time too. man-i sure miss that tub, i REALLY wanted to move it with me but it wasnt worth the 2,000 mile drive!
  13. I can see water returning and hear it run-in fact, the elbow with the nipple is broken and the nipple is glued mostly shut by DPO and leaks when power applied and circ pump comes on. no burns or "letting the smoke out" obvious signs on board. im not set up right now and lack the skill set to de-solder and reconfigure board stuff. can plug/play parts though.
  14. I believe based on information from this home site that it is a 2004 Bengal model M no limit switch was discovered on the heater body. the circ pump works will try to post a pic later.
