As the new pump is plastic I understand there is not a need for a bonding wire, so I can remove?

I think this is called the bonding wire...

My circulation pump stopped working. Just got a replacement. However the replacement does not have (what I assume see picture) is the grounding wire on top of the pump (it has the wires that go to the circuit board). As this is a direct replacement. What should I do with this bare wire? I think the heater has similar so I could add it to here?
