  1. Do a search for bleed valve failure moto massage, you'll come across it... It seems there was a bad batch of the nipple your dealer is guessing it is. Your 2012 tub is right in the time line. It's in the bottom of the moto massage well. If you have the loosely filled insulation it's a simple find and plug/remedy/replace situation... $1.99 part
  2. Hi all, Can't decipher from the manual exactly what all the icons mean. Hot Spring/Hot Spot SX, 2013, looks like this: F1, F2, night mode, and the jets icon are straightforward. It's the "Ready" and circulation arrows that have no specific mention in the manual. I'm guessing "Ready" means no heat demand? What about the two arrows, sort of like below? In the bottom right of the display. I've seen them on with F1 and also without, haven't figured them out. Thanks!
  3. Yes, I have to add to this, my "2013" SX, which was made in late 2012, also had this failure. Bad batch of plastic I guess. Thanks to this and other online posts I tried that spot first when the tub leaked after moving it recently. Was so relieved when I found it and didn't have to keep searching. Used a wooden golf tee as a plug for now. Also had to pinch the bleedline hose that attached to it to stop the leaking completely. All good for now. I purchased a new nipple for $1.99 at our hot springs dealer and will drill out the old one and glue it in at our next water change. I came across a post somewhere that explained it does do something meaningful so I figure I'll repair it...
  4. Hi Rick, I have a Hot Springs SX model, 285gal., so a bit bigger than the TX. If a TX/SX is wired for 110/30, the heat will operate with the jets on high as well as on low. 110/15 will only do heat when jets are on low. As stated by Cusser, if you're in for 30 mins or less you probably won't notice much drop in temp, if any. We are in a cold climate and sure, when it's below freezing it will drop maybe 2 degrees in 30 mins, but that doesn't hinder our experience. If you want to use it for hours on end (prob not with a TX) then you'll want to wire it for 220 to get the higher heat ability (4kw vs 1kw). Good luck and have fun!
