  1. I decided not to empty my pool, and try to deal with the water the way it is. So, i started filling it back up. I went to the pool supply store and she checked for everything except metals and didnt tell me that until she had poured the water out. But, either way I know it's metal cause I've been able to get it all dropped to the bottle of the pool. The lady told me I needed 10lbs of Alkalinity and some stabilizer. I put all of that in. Water was still green as heck. I let the filter run all night and that's when it all dropped to the bottom of the pool Vacuuming it out is not an option. So, im going to stir it all up and hope the filter catches most of it. My question is.. When I buy a sequestering agent..How do I put the chlorine in to keep it from turning my pool water green? Do i put the sequesterant in before the chlorine or after? I dont know..Please HELLLLLPPP!
  2. I have a 15 foot metal frame pool..The kind from wal-mart..We started filling it up last Friday...Water looked great...When it was finally full (Sunday)..My husband put shock in it...(we know NOTHING about pools btw)...The water still looked great..We were able to enjoy it for a week. Then this morning I decide to go outside and put more shock in it because the water started looking a lil cloudly, but not bad at all. Within 10 mins the water is green. So, I went to Wal-Mart and got test strips, and one of the startup kits for that size pool. The strips showed that the chlorine was extremely low and the ph was extremely low. We added a lil bit of bleach and got the chlorine right. I went back to Wal-mart and got PH Add. My water is still green, so now I am emptying it and starting over. What should I do different this time? Before we bought this house in Oct, we rented a house that was full of iron in the water. I actually have a post on this forum about my brown water. Now, I just pray to god that Im not going to be dealing with the same situation this time around. So anyways, here's my questions. What do i need to use to keep my pool clean? and why didn't the water turn green the first time that we shocked it?
