I have a Hot Springs Grandee that is about 3-4 years old. I have been using the same chemicals in it since i got it. (dealer suggested). My wife rarely gets in because she has sensitive skin and breaks out itching and red skin. Even I find it really drying my skin out. I am using: Freshwater continuous silver ion cartridge , SpaGuard Enhanced Shock, SpaGuard Shock-Oxidizer plus their Stain and Scale and PH Decreaser. Those are all I use. Does anyone have suggestions for better results and works with Hot Spring Spas?

I have 1 2 year old hot tub. I was noticing that the wood base frame, that sits on concrete slab, was looking slightly weathered. I was wondering if there is something i can safely coat it with. It doesn't leak, but it always seems to be wet or moist around the edges(not the wood but the concrete). I was thinking about trying something like FLEX SEAL that they sell at Lowes. Would this seal the moisture in and make it worse?
