  1. Hi All, We have a Bullfrog A8L that is not even three years old yet. We recently noticed an issue that has been diagnosed by our dealer as "crazing", basically the three layer of acrylic in the spa shell have began to separate. This has been consider a material defect and Bullfrog has agreed to warranty the tub, however not for fee. They are wanting to assess a $1,800 upgrade fee to cover the cost of the additional technology they have added since the hot tub was new (brushed stainless jets, new valve and gasket mechanisms, extra lights..etc) That is all great stuff, but the fact of the matter is I am not asking for a new tub for the fun of it, the deemed mine defective. After spending a LARGE amount of money on the best Bullfrog offers, we are having a hard time ponying up more money to get upgraded technology when in reality we were happy with our tub. We are well within our warranty and they have agreed to replace it. Just wanting to see if this is standard practice?
  2. Hi everyone! I am new here. My wife and I are thinking of adding a concrete patio with a hot tub to our newly built home. We visited a Bullfrog dealer the other day, and the salesman showed us all the cool things about these tubs. We were originally looking for an R7 or A7. He gave us pricing on these. $7,500 for an R7 and $9,500 for an A7. These prices were delivered and with cover but without tax. We shot the wind a little and then he said... I'm not sure if you are interested, but we just had a client who bought a 2015 A8L from us 17 months ago, they have since moved to another house and the deck wasn't built to hold the A8L any longer, so they came in and bought an A6 a month ago. I could put you in touch with them, and see if it something you might like. We went out and looked at the A8L and it was in great shape, other than the cover blew off in a storm and ripped. They stated the tub was just over $12,000 new with taxes. They were asking $6,500 for it. We talked back and forth, they said they would be willling to take $5,000 even for it. The tub does need to be moved which will cost about $450 and then a new cover will need to be ordered about $350 making the delivered price (by the original selling dealership) of $5,800. The tub still has 3 1/2 years of warranty still left on it and the original dealer has honored to maintain that warranty as these were valued customers of theirs for the past 20 years. What are you guys thoughts on this tub, and this price? Is it fair for a used 2015 Bullfrog A8L?
