  1. Thanks for the response. So, is that to say then that you think it's a fair bet that all I will need is a power distribution circuit board?
  2. I have a Jandy LX 400 thats been working fine for about 9 years. After turning it on the other day I noticed the spa temp was not increasing. I checked it out to find that the breaker had been tripped. I turned the breaker back on, which caused a crack sound followed by black smoke coming from the front of the unit. Naturally, I quickly turned the breaker back off. Upon inspection, I found the power distribution circuit board fried; the simm and socket were blackened. No other components appeared blackened or otherwise affected. My maintenance guy recommends replacing the whole unit at over $2,000. But I dont know if thats just because hes not qualified to troubleshoot the individual components. I would rather spend $150 for a new power distribution circuit board if thats all it takes. Im looking for advice as to whether this type of event is likely to also involve other expensive electrical components to fix, and maybe replacing the whole unit does make the most sense. Or rather is it a good bet to spend the $150 to see if thats all it needs? Thanks.
