  1. When I was looking into spas without circ pumps, I asked a couple of service companies if they could, a couple said yes. One went into detail about how it would take using an existing jet to serve as the water inlet into the tub to allow the circulation. I however bought a spa with a circ pump so I never did need the service.
  2. "In order for your Hot Spring® spa to operate properly, and the internal plumbing to drain completely, the spa must be level. If the spa is to be installed on an uneven, or unlevel foundation, shimming of the spa is required. NOTE: Due to the large size of the Vista® and Grandee® spas, Watkins Manufacturing Corporation requires that these spas be installed on a level 4- (10.1 cm) thick concrete pad or structurally engineered deck and NOT shimmed in any manner." Since the rest of the pages focused on shims, I missed the second line of the section. Hope my oversight helps others. Thanks.
  3. Another question for me, I will be placing my 2008 HS Grandee on my back patio that has a natural pitch for drainage. It is not severe or noticable, but wonder if it is necessary to shim it to make it level? It has not been placed or installed yet. Thanks in advance.
  4. I really liked the Hot Spring Hot Spot series spa called Rhythm. Very clean design, good features and open seating. I did buy a used Hot Springs Grandee that gave me better jets and circulation pump for a very cheap price. This way I can decide how much I will use it and what features I like or don't like/need. I would by the Rhythm tomorrow if I had to buy a new spa.
  5. Hello, I am getting a 2008 Hot Spring Grandee. I am going to put it on my back porch which is a cement pad after it is covered in acrylic coating (like Kool Deck). I don't know how long to wait to allow it to cure fully to accept the tonnage of a full spa. Any ideas? Second, the spa has been empty for a couple of months and was probably not flushed before draining to move. Should I fill it completely to flush and sanitize it? Seems like a lot of water to flush it, but I want to do it correctly. Last, I have a swimming pool that will be going in also that is using a salt cell (SWCG), so I am not sure if that has an influence on how I sanitize my spa (separate systems). Any cross reactions between jumping in and out of the pool and spa. Thanks in advance.
