  1. We have the chemicals, we just wanted to make sure we weren't doing damage to the hot tub by using them. We also have test strips. Looks like we'll go with Bromine... so... 1)Bromine 2)Baking Soda - to adjust alkalinity/pH 3)Dry Acid - to adjust alkalinity/pH. Is it ok to use a non-chlorine type of "shock" if it gets cloudy?
  2. I'm having a hard time searching this forum for information. We just got our inflatable hot tub yesterday, and have not yet put any chemicals in it (filled, heated, went in once). We want to make sure the chemicals we use will be safe for us and our hot tub. The manufacturer doesn't give any specific recommendations on chemicals to use, just pH, alkalinity, etc levels to maintain. We were wanting to know if anyone has thoughts on whether the recommendations in this forum: http://www.poolspaforum.com/forum/?showtopic=30249
