It's fixed...so, I thought I would finalize this..... It turned out that the terminals from the Flow Switch were not in all the way so they weren't making contact. Thought they were in the first time....but apparently not. Thanks all!

sorry for so many posts....but just went out and took the filter off to verify that the filter was not part of the problem. The circulating pump has a strong draw on the water..... I then took a look at the new flow valve that I installed, and I noticed that it does not seem to be operating properly. The two parts that move to make contact are remaining in contact....even when I put the main pump on at low and high speed. Is it defective? Is it possible that my contacts are not in properly? Guess I am back to the flow valve...which seemed to be working properly just after installation. d

I went out to check the information on my circulation pump. Put my hand on it and it felt slightly warm and then I decided to run a simple test to see if it was actually pumping water. I took a wire hanger and attached a 12 inch long strip of tissue paper and put it down where the flow outlet from the recirculating pump to see if there was movement. There is movement....the pump seems to be working okay.....so, given that it is not the pump, should I consider getting a new heater? Is there something else I should check into first? thanks

Hi Jeremy H, Thanks for your response. good advice on the heat sensor. The reason that I am confused about the status of the circulation pump in my spa is that I thought it was working. Although I couldn't feel much vibration in it, I had the large pump off and took off the outflow hose and the pump seemed to be moving water....but come to think of it, maybe I was duped but the water pressure just moving water through the pump without the pump doing anything.....is that possible? If not, then I'm not sure that it is the circulation pump. Any additional thoughts? It's 9F outside, so I haven't hustled out there this morning to check on the circulation pump....but, it is original to the unit....that I do know without looking. Probably is the culprit. Any suggestions on what brand to get? Best, David

New to forum: hope you can help. I have a Sundance Capri spa and have enjoyed it for years. It has been bitter cold in the Northeast. Went out to check on the spa, water was cold and was giving me alternating ICE and FLO indicators along with a temperature reading around 60. I changed the filters and determined that I needed a new flow valve...so I replaced it. Both pumps seem to be operating properly now, but I am still getting a FLO error message...and have done all the things I have read on line to remedy that situation to no avail. The panel does not show that the heater is active....although the temperature of the spa has been slowly rising...it's now at 75 and it is only 15 outside...so, something is heating the water. The pumps do not feel unusually hot to the touch. I went ahead an ordered a new temperature sensor since it seems that for $26 it was another thing to check off the list. Can anyone provide any additional guidance regarding the failure to get the spa heating properly and also about the FLO error message? Thanks. David K
