  1. Problem and solution discussed at http://www.poolspaforum.com/forum/index.… at this site. I had the same problem and decided to post to this old discussion in case someone happens upon it.
  2. Best bet is that the heater is not working. If you run the pumps, the spa gets heat energy from the churnning of the impellers. If the spa is covered and you let the pump run for a long time, the temperature will rise to a fairly high value before equilibrium is reached.
  3. Unless it remains cold for a long time, the high heat capacity of the water in the tub will keep it from freezing. As far as the pump compartment, a 100W light bulb can do wonders. All other pipes, etc., may be a cause for worry if the temp drops too much although a tarp over the tub along with the residual heat from the light bulb and tub should keep it cozy for a while. You can also add more bulbs under the tarp if you are concerned.
  4. If not mistaken, the Limelight series, for example, has a lighted Hot Spring logo on the control panel. It's more like buying a Lexus. You can get different models all bearing the same Lexus logo.
  5. I ordered a Flair which includes the best cover lifter (a must ), steps, and ozone generator, plus 100 mile delivery and setup for $9400. I'd say your $8k price is good as long as it is a 2013 model. I have used an older ozone system on an older model a number of years ago, and it was a real good aid in keeping the water clean. The newer arc generated ozone generators are supposed to be much better. I'd say go for it if it is in your budget.
