Gfci's trip on leakage current. There maybe an internal problem with the electrical on the tub or the gfci may be going bad. I would start by replacing the gfci. If it still trips, there is an electrical issue with the tub. I am a master electrician in northeast pa. Let me know if there is anyhing else you need.
