I have an older model 110V Cal spa that plugs directly into a 110V outlet on the back side of my house. Come to find out my outside outlet is on the same circuit as my garage. I have a chest freezer plugged in my garage. And when I plug in the hot tub it keep tripping the main house breaker for the garage. What could be my problem. It works for weeks at a time then I come home one day and its tripped. Then reset the break and will go for a month then trip. And this has been happening for a couple months now. What could be my problem. The Cal Spa has a GFI cord on it but doesnt pop that circuit, just the main in the garage. It is not plugged into a GFI outlet. So should I change out the standard outlet for a GFI? Would that cure this problem. Please help!! Thanks
