  1. Up and running smoothly so far. My husband and I enjoyed a nice soak last night, while the children were sleeping. Ahhh....its so much nicer having a spa in your own backyard than wet testing them in the store...glad that done for now anyways.
  2. We got a call yesterday from our Dimension One dealer saying that they were going to deliver our Nautilus spa this morning between 7-12. (1 week early). i hope everything goes smoothly and fits the way we planned. If all goes well we should be relaxing in it tonight. Can't Wait
  3. Sounds like the D1 Diplomat. Only one I know of that has 2 loungers. That is actually one of the models we were deciding between. We thought for sure we wante4d a lounger, then after much wet testing and other factors, we chose the Nautilus (no lounger but can fit up to 7 people comfortably). As far as the used spa goes, $4k might not be so bad, but I would look into whether it will still be covered under remaining warranties and such. Also, if its possible to wet test. It is so different to sit in a dry tub, and then to sit in one with running water. You may find out you are a floater like I was in some tubs, which makes for a not so relaxing experience. Good luck with your search.
  4. Yes that is the one (tiles, shell embossed etc). Just wanted to make sure I wasn't paying $8600 for something I could have actually paid $6500. But sounds like $8600 is a good price then!
  5. My husband and I looked around for months before making our final decision. My husband had wet tested about a dozen or so before I finally wet tested with him. We had narrowed it down to Sundance, Hot Springs, and Dimension One. At first we thought for sure it would be the Sundance Optima, until I wet tested it. I loved the style etc, but when I sat in it with water I could not stay in one place. I kept floating off the seat,(my husband didn't have this problem) I could hold myself down, but that was just more effort, and this was supposed to be relaxing. We finally both wet tested the Dimension One Nautilus and I could actually sit comfortably even with high flow from the jets. PS We were quoted a price of $8600 for the Nautilus in Massachusetts, ($9500 in another dealership an hour north). Is $8600 a good deal for this model? I hope we weren't over charged.
  6. Hello, After many months of shopping arround and wet testing different brands and models, my husband and I just placed a deposit on a Dimension One Nautilus Spa. We live in Massachusetts, I was just wondering if anyone else here owns one of these and how they like it? Any problems etc? And what price have people paid for this model (2006). I hope we made the right choice.
  7. There is a Caldera dealer in Seekonk? I did not know this....I will have to check them out as well........Ah so many to choose from!
  8. have not looked at any dealers in Rhode Island. D1 was in Dartmouth. Hotsprings in Middleboro and Natick. Sundance was Natick and Master Spas(still debating) was in Somerset area. prices ranged between $8500 and $9300. we ere looking at the 5+ seating capacities.
  9. If you have not decided yet, I would wait until you wet test before thinking about it much further...My husband and I are in the same situation (deciding between 3 major brands which to choose). My husband has already wet tested 5 models. He actually did not care for the Lotus Bay. It is a very nice spa, but there was one seat it particular that be said he felt very cramped in. Mind you he is not a big guy either. 5' 7" - 155 lbs. he couldn't imagine anyone bigger than him fitting in that particular seat comfortably. I'm not sure if the seat in the serena is more roomy, but I definately reccomend whomever will be using the spa on a regular basis try out all the seats to ensure comfort. Hope that helps a little!
  10. Just spoke to brother in-law, he and his wife just bought a dynasty spa for around $7400. Does anyone have any experience with Dynasty spas? My husband and I looked at them when we were looking at the others, and we were NOT very impressed with them. Maybe it was the dealer we went too? Anyway, I think I'll still be sticking to one of my 4 top choices. Sundance, hotspring, Dimension One or POSSIBLY Master Spa. Hoping to go do more wet testing on Wednesday!
  11. Does anyone have any experience with Dynasty Spas? What kind of quality are these spas? Thanks
  12. Just wondering if anyone has any experience dealing with the Hot Springs dealer in Middleboro?
  13. My husband and I did visit the Master Spas in Somerset and my husband actually wet tested 2 of their models. He did like them alot, (the jets covered a large number of areas). We will be returning to 3 of the dealers so I can wet test with him and make our descision. We did not see the Caldera dealer, maybe we will check them out too, though we already have 4 major brand companies that we are deciding from, if we add another, that could make things even harder to decide. ON another note, we did go to the Bullfrog dealer in that area and my husband wet tested. He was very disapointed in the wet test after testing the other brands. He said there was nothing special about them compared to the others.
  14. I notice quite a few of you mention NE Spa, which location have you purchased from....we visited the one in Natick, even though it is an hour from our home. Do you think an hour is too far to make this sort of purchase (for maintanance reasons)? Thanks for all the good info thus far!
  15. if that is the one in Natick, then yes we did go their and my husband did like the optima...though I myself did not wet test it yet. thanks for the info.
  16. Thanks I will keep that in mind. my husband is 5'8" and I am 5'2" he sinks though I think I may be the opposite. we will have to find out.
  17. My husband and I have been looking to get a spa. We have looked at many brand and my husband has wet tested 4 of them. I think we have narrowed it down to Sundance, Hotsprings, Dimension one, or master spas. I hope to go back and wet test some with my husband in the upcoming weeks. we are also debating the lounger seat....we have heard pros and cons and that its personal prefrence. I just worry about the loungers taking up too much room. Any comments or suggestions appreciated...thanks Is there anyone in the Massachusetts area that I should know about?
