  1. Not sure if you drained it or not, but if not.... Go the nearest home depot and get some 1 1/2 inch flexible sump pump hose. Submerge it in the tub to remove all the air and plug one end and take it out of the tub. Let go and you will have the tub drained in about 15 minutes or less. use the suction end to suck out any sand and dirt from the bottom as it drains
  2. I will give this a shot.... I have to try something, anything! I know this is a good tub, but I think Watkins goofed with the redesign of the 2020.As soon as i get the time, I will wire the pump directly, and ill let you know the results. Bear in mind it may be a while as this is an intermittant problem. Has been a week since the last shutdown now.
  3. The tub does not have the ACE system. The problem is not self correcting.... Ive come home to a mighty chilly tub after work.... we are in the midwest. Resetting the breakers is the only "fix". I have cleaned the filters, and also have run the tub without any filters to see if the problem would resolve... it didnt... Watkins claims there is a firmware update, but I havent been able to confirm that. This is an intermittant problem, only happens when the jets are running. As soon as the fault happens, the temp readout (on occasion)will go as high as 109 degrees, but the water temp is only 100 per thermometer. other times the temp readout will stay fairly accurate. Being an Electrical Engineer, im leaning toward a design fault on the board.I have learned from the dealer, that there is another tub in the area with the same type of problems..
  4. Hello, Long time reader, first time posting.... After a lot of research, bought a new 2012 Grandee. Problems shortly after. Circ pump and heater will shut down and both green and blue lights on the shell will start blinking. The Circ pump, control board, and sensors have all been replaced. From what I have been told, the control board has been redesigned for this model year. Even the techs that were out had never seen the new board.Just wondering if anyone else has seen or heard of this issue, and has there been a satisfactory solution?
