  1. I'm a hot tub DIY newbie, so I'll keep it brief. Here's the chronicle of events: - Hot tub: Sundance Marin '98ish - The original problem was a static FLO error for which I diagnosed and replaced the circulation pump. The FLO error disappeared and all was well until I noticed that, after replacing the pump, the ozone bubbles were no longer the nice champagne sized ones, but rather more like the big bubbles that would come up from a hyperventilating scuba diver... I tracked it down to the ozonator by pinching off the ozone hose at various points along the path from the ozone injector to where the hose actually attaches to the ozonator (a very old one, btw). There are no leaks along the way, since I could actually stop the bubbles completely by disconnecting the hose from the ozonator and plugging it with my thumb. I figured the larger bubbles could be explained by an increase in water flow due to the new circ pump that resulted in too much air being sucked from the ozonator, so I just stuffed a little cloth into the upstream side of one of the check valves to create a DIY "ozone restrictor". The bubbles are nice and champagne-like now, but I noticed that the sound of the circ pump seemed to change a bit when i added some restriction to the ozone air line. Sorry for the long-winded description, but my question is: I assume that restricting the ozone air flow will add a bit of strain to the circ pump, but is it anything that could potentially cause any long-term damage to the pump itself?
