Unfortunately my new Hot Springs Grandee spa cannot perform the most basic function...keep proper temperature. I bought a new HOT Springs Grandee last November 2011. Beautiful Spa. Love the Moto Jets. I have owned many spas over the last 25 years. This is the first time I have ever had an issue where the spa could not maintain the proper temperature. This has been a problem since the first day we got it. The temp would be set at 101 and the tub would read 101 at first, when only the circ pump was running. Then after the main pumps would be running for 10 min or so, the temp readout on the control panel would start dropping...100...99..98 and so on, however the actual water temp was not decreasing, in fact it was increasing because the heater comes on since it thinks the water is getting cold. The actual water temp would routinely increase to 103 to 105 after the pumps were running for 10 min. or so.(a digital medical thermometer works well in this range). The dealer has replaced the thermostat and the entire computer control box. Unfortunately the tub still would not maintain proper temp. I wonder if the fancy temperature algorithm they use with the duel thermostat is simply not programmed correctly? Has anyone else had this problem? .
