  1. I researched and wet tested at least 6-8 brands. I ended up finally with the vita-spa caberet. It was just installed this week and we are loving it. I did not find any negative about it (except for the fullfoam/vs insulated debate). I loved the features, great therapy and I especially love the fresh water misters (the misters are why i actually looked into the vita spa. Anyway-so far so good, i just love it. good luck!
  2. Hi. Just wondering if which brand chemicals you use matter. Also does anyone know a website that discounts on chemicals. I jsut got my tub this week and I was started with nature 2 and spa essentials. Is this good? any help will be appreciated. Thanks
  3. I wet tested the vita yesterday. It has everything in it I want. It was a bit too full so I had a bit of a hard time staying in some of the seats-the water level too high in many seats. I am 5'7" so I would imagine an inch or 2 of water will make a difference. any thoughts on this? Also-I don't know of any other vitaspa dealers around me. How can I find this out? The web site only shows one dealer. Thanks
  4. Where do you live MJS? Can I ask approx. what you paid? I am trying to figure out if I shoulld try to bargain a little. Thanks
  5. Opinions please. i wet tested the epic, and hope to wet test the caberet next weekend (they have to install and fill it in the showroom. On paper, I like the vita better. Also-how are these prices. (I am in NJ) Vitaspa caberet with wave seat, mood lites, stereo and misters 10,202 with delivery, cover & cover lifter, steps, start up chemicals, Epic with mood lites, stereo and the usual (cover, lifter, steps, chems.) etc, 10,300
  6. I did ask the dealer for a copy of the warranty. She says she will have to find it as it comes with each spa. I looked in their brochure and on the web and it doesn't say anywhere. If the warranty is prorated andnot as good as the others it may be a deal breaker. I am also still looking at other spas. I am still sooo confused. Caren
  7. I am going through the same thing right now. I wet tested the HS envoy and LA spa Oasis. I have heard very good things about Hs, not a lot of info on the LA spas. However-when I wet tested I really liked the LA spa better, plus the price for the LA spa was much better including all the options that I want. I still haven't made a decision, although I think I have ruled out the HS because it just didn't feel as good. Good luck and let us know how the wet test goes. Caren
  8. Sharkman-I am just curious-what brand do you sell?
  9. I am considering-A Catalina neptune II, LA spas Oasis, D1 wayfarer or Californian(a bit bigger than I want). I also am going to check out Vita spas. The D1 dealer, also has HS-charges $89 trip fee for warranty service-did agree to give me 1 year free of trip charge-they are the closest-claim of course to be the best, but put down any other spa I mentioned. They were helpful-explained a lot, their prices seem to be higher, but it may be their lines. Help-any input is appreciated. Caren
  10. Thanks for all your help. Since the HS was not my favorite and it seems like the filtration thing is not a huge issue, I can at least now cross that off my list. Caren
  11. I am considering a few different hot tubs. The closest dealer-which sells both D1and Hotsprings (also charges $89 trip charge for warranty service) said that only HS has 100% filtration when the pumps are in use. Is this true? LA spa dealer says that their tubs continue to filter when pumps are in use and I can't remember what the Catalina dealer said. I do want my tub to be filtered when I am in it. Help... i am soooo confused. Caren
  12. That makes sense-however when you sit in the tub with jets going-turbulant hot water-causes mist that you will still breathe in-Wouldn't that be true-( I am not sure about it but it would make sense to me) I know that my glasses get fogged and wet so I am probably breathing it in anyway.
  13. I would like to hear any other opinions/facts about this company. I wet testedthe barefoot spa magnassager and wasn't impressed, However, full and ready to go was a Catalina-highest end model with all the bells and whisles. We tried it and I really liked some of the jets. What I especially liked was the cool misters. I am seriously thinking about the Neptune II -brand new model. Also called the Mariah w. stereo http://www.catalinaspas.com/brochure/page7.htm It has a lounge and nice configured jets. I will be wet testing that model next week. TIA for any info.
