  1. This is what I've found. I tested the voltage at the motor and the white had 50 volts and the black wire 110. Should be 110 and 110 I think. I went to the control panel and tested the connections to the problem pump and it was the same. It appears that the panel is not pushing the correct amount of voltage to the motor and thus it's not starting. I tested the problem pump on the other set of wires and I ran just fine. Now my issue went from intermittently starting up to not at all. There is no start capacitor on the motor. Is it safe to say that my control panel is shot? Do I need to buy a new control panel or is there a someone that can rebuild? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!!!
  2. Hello - I'm hoping that someone could help in trouble shooting my Sundance Optima 2010 that I recently bought used. Everything worked perfectly for the first few weeks. I went to start pump #1 and it didn't come on. The display indicates that the pump is on but no jet action. I've tried for the past four days and sometimes it comes on and sometimes it does not. I do hear a click when the button is pressed but the motor does not seem to be running. Any help is appreciated. I don't know if it's the motor, control board, valves, etc. Thanks!!!
  3. Arches - that's good information. Thank you very much. Just to confirm - I should grab the breaker in the main panel, the disconnect (that's on the outside of the house), wire (from main panel to the disconnect?), and the conduit (from the panel on the outside of the house to the tub). Is this correct? Thanks again!
  4. Thanks for the feedback! I was quoted 800 to move as there is about 6 stairs down and four up but it's about 80 miles door to door. Anyone move hot tubs in the Northern NJ area? JimKW - how much did you sell yours for if you don't mind me asking? What year?
  5. Can someone give me their opinion on weather a 1 1/2 year old Optima. I check the serial and it was built in September 2010. It appears to be in excellant shape. I have observed it running and the owner is moving. I would have to either move it myself or hire a professional. It has no radio and has ozone. Two questions - 1. Should I move it myself? Does it really put that much stress on the unit? 2. Is 4500 a fair price? I've read countless threads and this appears to be a good price but I would appreciate any feedback. Thank You!
