  1. That's what I thought! Thanks again!!
  2. Thanks. The pool is somewhat new to me so I am trying to figure things out. Last night I was going out to dinner and I knew that I wanted to go for a swim when I got home. I used the easy touch buttons to turn the pool heater on. So I was surprised that when I got home, it had turned off. I figured it was because the filter turned off at 8. So, if I want to do this again, even though the filter is already on, I would push the filter button on the control panel near the equipment and it will continue to stay on after the 8pm shut off time?
  3. I have the Pentair Easy Touch. When I want to turn my pool heater on, I use my easy touch buttons and my pool heater will turn on, however, since my filter is scheduled to shut off at 8pm, the pool heater will shut off at 8pm. How do I make my filter to stay on as long as my pool heater?
  4. I checked the time last night and it was correct (at least I'm thinking in the right direction-haha), and the Easytouch says the pump is on--the strange part is, I went back to check on things just about 15 minutes ago and things went back to normal...? I will feel better when the filter turns off tonight at 6 pm like it is supposed to do. I will follow up with the pool company about the relay. Thanks!
  5. I am enjoying my second season of being a pool owner, but I am still trying to figure things out. Anyway, I have a Pentair IntelliChlor that is hooked up to an EasyTouch control system. My filter is on an automatic timer and is set to go off at 6 pm. Last night around 8 pm, I noticed that the pool filter was still on and the IntelliChlor output had all 5 lights green. At first I thought the system boost was on, but the lights are not flashing, they are solid. I double checked all the settings on the EasyTouch, but they were as they should be (the output was set to 45% for the pool and 2% for the spa). When I changed it on the EasyTouch, nothing happened to the green lights on the IntelliChlor. I checked the chlorine level in the pool and it is extremely high. The only thing I could think to do was to put it in service mode. Any ideas?

  7. thanks everyone, when I clicked the toggle switch the valve didn't turn, it the actuator is broken--our pool company came out today to replace it--luckily it's still under warranty!
  8. but when I put it back in auto mode the spa starts to drain again into the pool.
  9. I have the Pentair EasyTouch 8 and 4 pool and spa control system. It seemed to stay in service mode. When they opened the pool, they forgot to open one of the valves to the spa, we had the spa on the first time this season for about 2 hours. After we turned the spa button off and got out. we noticed (almost immediately) that the water level was going down at a rapid pace--then we noticed the pool level was going up. I hope that when they forgot to open that one valve it didn't mess things up, but I guess it did. I hope it's an easy fix.
  10. We had our pool opened last week and everything looked fine. Today, we went to use the spa--we had it heated and turned on for about 2 hours. After we turned the spa off, the spa water level was falling dramatically and the pool started to fill up. My daughter was over and she noticed that one of the valves (we believe for the spa) was in the closed position. We put it in service mode and turned the value to the open position. The levels seemed to stabilize and fill back up (with the help of a hose). Since things seemed stable, we put it back in auto mode and the spa started to drain back into the pool. We put it back in service mode and it stabilized again. Can we leave the pool in service mode until Monday when the pool company can come out?
